Game Review- "Journey"

I really do enjoy playing video games, but very rarely does a video game silence me and capture my attention for a whole two hours. "Journey" is a true masterpiece. My husband and I were introduced to this game by a friend, and I admittedly rolled my eyes at my husband for buying this because we have so many games, but this really is a great work of art to add to any game collection and I'm very glad he bought it.

The game Starts out with a figure in a cloak sitting in the middle of the dessert. The controls are very user-friendly and a unique feature allows you to shift around the controller so you are able to look around. I am a late PS3 player, so other games may have this feature, but I think it is very innovative and adds to the players experience while playing this game.

When I say experience, it really is a unique and beautiful experience. The rendering of the sand and the lighting is incredible, as well as the interactions you have with several moving scarves. The character creates a great relationships with these scarves. Another friend of mine stated that playing two-player with the network playing option is also a great way to play and gives an added experience of fellowship. I have yet to play this way, but hope to soon.

I really do recommend this game. It is almost like playing a book. The game is set up like a narrative, which brings a different player experience than I am used to with other games. The game does not last very long, so you could possibly play it in one sitting, or stop frequently and savor it. "Journey" the collector's addition also comes with five mini-games, two are called "Flow" and "Flower" and are also very innovative. The other three mini-games have never been released and are very fun.

"Journey" only costs $16.13 USD on Amazon, and costs $25.01 USD at Walmart. It really is a great game, and I hope this review is helpful!!! Comment, Subscribe, Tweet or Instagram your experiences! I'd love to hear about them! Have a wonderful day and Happy Gaming!
